GATEJUMPERS seeks to map spatial injustice through process-driven interventions. We will explore injustice, inequality, and misinformation that take place in our environment. Gatekeeping access in social space does not generate from one specific factor such as gender, race, disability, class, and region. Each inequality is closely intertwined, diffusing the border, but with own conceptual connotation and denotations. Acting as new collective called 'GATEJUMPERS', our democratizing interventions are designed to use our positionality as a vehicle to tackle the spatial injustice we each have witnessed. Through a series of collaboratively designed ‘proposed’ workshops, the collective will suggest claiming territory in gate-kept spaces across the city and invite a wider audience through online space to propose new territory which to stake a claim in.
